Please be advised that INTERPARLIAMENTARY TASKFORCE ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING (ITHT) is in the process of applying for § 501(c)(3) charitable organization tax-exempt status with the IRS which is approximately a 6-9 month process.  While our application is pending, ITHT is permitted by federal tax code to exist and function as a § 501(c)(3) charitable organization for up to 27 months of date of incorporation (incorporated on May 23, 2023).  We fully anticipate receiving a favorable determination from the IRS in response to our pending application.  In reliance upon that expectation, you may record any qualifying donations to us as tax-deductible on your income tax return.  In the unlikely event that ITHT) is ultimately declined for IRS § 501(c)(3) status, you/your organization will be notified within no more than 21 days of the official date that the application was declined, and you will be required to make any necessary adjustments to your income tax return.  If you/your organization hears nothing from ITHT you may simply assume that our application has been approved.  Feel free to contact us at any time regarding our tax status.  (An ongoing list of approved organizations can also be found in the IRS Publication 78, which is a searchable database on the IRS website.)
