Dakoa Newman MP is a distinguished Ghanaian politician known for her dedication to public service. Hon. Newman has championed various causes throughout her career, with a particular focus on gender equality, children’s rights, and social protection. Recently, she was appointed as the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection on February 14th, 2024. She is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and she represents the Okaikwei South Constituency in the Ghanaian Parliament.
She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master’s Degree in Program and Project Management from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
In addition to her political pursuits, Hon. Newman is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a chartered Risk Management Professional (RMP). With her leadership, she continues to inspire positive change and empower communities, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of Ghana.
