Catharina Rinzema is a Member of the European Parliament from the liberal Dutch party “VVD.” She serves in the USA-delegation, the international trade committee and is also the Vice-Chair of the Intergroup on Children’s Rights, working on the (online) safety of children.
As Vice Chair in the European Parliament for this Intergroup, Catharina is committed to improve a wide spectrum of European legislation. A core aspect of her work is to the prevention of child trafficking, the prohibition of pedophile manifesto’s and making the internet a safe space for children.
In addition, Catharina has been instrumental in shaping the political agenda, by raising topics directly related to the wellbeing of children as a priority for the European Union.
